We partnered with CBN Family, a mobile streaming service dedicated to providing quality programming for families, to revamp their streaming app. The project involved comprehensive wireframing and prototyping for various devices, introducing innovative features to enhance user engagement and meet the marketing goals set by the client.

CBN Family operates across multiple platforms, including TV, iOS, Roku, Android, and Desktop. The objective of the redesign was to create a seamless, visually appealing, and user-friendly experience that promotes a diverse range of shows while aligning with CBN Family’s brand image.

Project Scope

Featured Slider Redesign

  • We implemented a shorter feature slider to streamline the user experience and align with marketing goals. This change enables users to make more informed watch decisions while allowing the promotion of multiple shows simultaneously.

  • New artwork styles were developed by the graphics team to complement the revised layout. This approach utilized existing show elements while presenting a visually engaging showcase of each program.

Channel Hub Buttons

  • The introduction of hub buttons aimed to provide users with quick access to their favorite shows. These buttons prominently featured top-of-the-line brands, allowing for easy navigation and personalized user experiences.

  • The versatility of hub buttons allows for seasonal content rotation, ensuring relevance and excitement for users throughout the year.

New Thumbnail Rows

  • We introduced new thumbnail rows to encourage user exploration within the app. By showcasing thumbnails of users’ favorite shows, curated lists, and featured content, the design promotes a more dynamic and engaging user experience.

  • The customizable nature of thumbnail rows enables adaptation to both user preferences and strategic business needs.

Enhanced Graphic Design

  • We implemented a fresh approach to graphic design, introducing new artistic styles that complemented the shorter feature slider. This innovation involved collaborating with the graphics team to create visually striking artwork, enhancing the overall aesthetics of each showcased show.

  • The redesign ensured visual consistency across various devices, including TV, iOS, Roku, Android, and Desktop.
